# Ads

Lion Ads is an optional, but recommended, module built on top of the [MAX SDK](https://support.axon.ai/en/max/unity/overview/integration/) that standardizes ad initialization, loading, and tracking across Lion Studios titles. It handles the core ad lifecycle for you and automatically sends the required Lion Analytics ad events, helping reduce integration time and common implementation issues. Lion Ads also supports our BidSmart system, which can improve monetization performance when enabled.

Lion Ads is not intended to replace your game’s ad logic. Instead, it works alongside your existing gameplay and ad decision-making flow by handling SDK-specific integration requirements and reducing ad-related boilerplate code in your project.

We understand that many developers already have their own ad managers in place. To make adoption easier, we have also provided a migration guide that you can refer to [here](/readme/features/ads/how-to-convert-to-lion-ads.md).

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://lionstudios.gitbook.io/readme/features/ads.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
