MAX SDK

MAX is the mediation solution used by Lion Studios to serve ads to players.

MAX also contains its own GDPR solution: MAX SDK’s Unified Consent Flow. This now replaces LionGDPR. All games published with Lion Studios must use this Unified Consent Flow.

Remove LionGDPR (if applicable)

If your game has already implemented LionGDPR:

• Remove any calls to LionGDPR
• Remove the LionGDPR package
• Make sure the game still works properly

Install LionSDK

• Complete the steps in Getting Started

Integrate MAX SDK and Consent Flow

• Open the LionStudios/Settings Manager window
• Go to the MAX tab
• If MAX is not installed, you will see the Install Max button
• Click the Install Max SDK button

• Click “Enable auto-initialization” from the Lion Settings Manager under the “MAX” tab
• Add your AppLovin SDK key available in the Lion Portal test submission to the Max Sdk Key field
• Unless special cases, do not change the other settings
• Click Setup Consent Flow button

Privacy Button

Games must have a “privacy” button in their games that allows the user to display the Consent Flow screen again. You need to integrate the Options menu to enable the Privacy Button.

Integrate Lion - Options Menu

Lion SDK offers a fully functional options menu prefab that has the required privacy button feature. Find out how to integrate it here: Options Menu

MAX Consent in Action

The MAX consent flow will automatically determine if the user needs to be shown the consent flow and show the popup accordingly.

  On android, the flow differs since there is no ATT framework. Instead, it is just the Terms/Privacy prompt using the native dialog box design in non-GDPR regions; and the GDPR prompt with the 3 toggles in GDPR regions.

Ads

In early testing, it is optional to integrate ads. Please check with your Lion representative if you need to integrate ads

• Ask for MAX Ad Unit IDs from your Lion point of contact

• Install mediation adapters, see here. Ask your Lion contact to know about which adapters to install.

  Google Ads Manager requires its own IDs, ask those IDs if this adapter needs to be installed.
